Breeze has made friends, found room to run, and apparently has a pretty great daycare routine. 🐾💙
Joyce, thank you for sharing this and for trusting us with Breeze. Your words about Christine and the team mean so much. We love getting to know the dogs who spend their days with us.

You plan your getaway. We’ll make sure your dog has a good one too. 🐾
At Hobe Sound Country Club Kennels, we get to know the dog behind the wagging tail. Some can’t wait to make friends and run in the park. Others are happiest with a little more personal attention. We make room for both, with supervised play, space to relax, and a caring team looking after them.
Planning a holiday trip? Give us a call to talk about boarding, or come by and see where your pup would stay.

This week’s breed spotlight is the Cavapoo! With a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle in the family tree, Cavapoos can be affectionate little companions with plenty of curiosity and personality. And as this guest is demonstrating, they can make a pretty convincing case for one more round of play. 💚

If this photo tells us anything, it’s that this Shepherd takes ball duty very seriously. 🎾
German Shepherds are intelligent, loyal dogs who love having something to do. A great day for them includes movement, training, and activities that put their minds to work. That’s why we believe play should have purpose, with room to run and opportunities to stay engaged.

**Boxers: part athlete, part comedian, 100% energy.**
Boxers are playful, intelligent, loyal, and built to work. They thrive when they have structure, physical activity, mental stimulation, and plenty of interaction with their people.
At Hobe Sound Country Club Kennels, we give active dogs purposeful outlets through structured play, training, enrichment, and carefully managed socialization—helping them burn energy while also building focus, confidence, and skills.

**First day of daycare? Here’s what to expect.**
At Hobe Sound Country Club Kennels, we don’t just place dogs into a group and hope for the best. We take the time to get to know each dog, evaluate their temperament and play style, introduce them gradually, and match them with the right playgroup.
Our staff continues to observe and adjust throughout the day so every dog has the best chance to feel comfortable, confident, and successful.
Because great daycare should be more than playtime — it should be the right experience for your dog.

**Border Collies don’t just want exercise — they want something to figure out.**
Known as one of the smartest working breeds, Border Collies were bred to herd, problem-solve, and respond quickly to direction. That means physical activity alone usually isn’t enough to keep them fulfilled.
At Hobe Sound Country Club Kennels, we give high-drive dogs opportunities to use both their bodies and their brains through structured play, training, enrichment, socialization, and purposeful activities.
For breeds like the Border Collie, a good day isn’t just about being tired — it’s about being challenged, engaged, and given a job to do.

A tired dog is good. A dog with a job is even better. 👀
At Hobe Sound Country Club Kennels, we believe play should have a purpose—especially for working breeds and high-drive dogs. Our specialized staff incorporates structured activities, training, socialization, and skill-building into their time with us, giving dogs opportunities to think, problem-solve, build confidence, and practice self-control.
Because sometimes the best kind of “playtime” is having something to accomplish.

Breed Spotlight: Australian Cattle Dog
Smart, intense, athletic, and always looking for something to do — Australian Cattle Dogs were built to work.
Originally bred to move cattle across long distances and tough terrain, these dogs are known for their endurance, problem-solving ability, focus, and strong work drive. That also means a quick walk around the block usually isn’t going to cut it.
Cattle Dogs thrive when they have structure, mental challenges, training, and purposeful activity. At Hobe Sound Country Club Kennels, we use structured play, enrichment, skill-building, and carefully managed socialization to help high-drive dogs channel that energy in a productive way.
Because with a Cattle Dog, keeping the body busy is only half the job — you have to engage the brain, too.
Cattle Dog owners: what keeps yours busiest at home?

**Does your dog try to herd the kids, the other dogs, your ankles… or even the vacuum?** 😂
If you have an Australian Shepherd or another herding breed, that behavior usually isn’t them being “bad”—it’s instinct. Herding dogs were bred to watch movement, control direction, and keep things in order, which is why they often try to round up just about anything that moves.
At Hobe Sound Country Club Kennels, we understand the instinct behind the behavior. Through structured play, training, socialization, and purposeful activities, we help channel that drive into something positive so dogs can build confidence, practice self-control, and thrive.
What does your herding dog try to herd at home? Tell us in the comments. 👇

**Breed Spotlight: German Shepherd**
Smart, loyal, driven, and happiest when they have a purpose — German Shepherds are the definition of a working breed.
Originally developed for herding and protection work, they thrive on structure, mental stimulation, training, and consistent physical activity. That’s why simply “wearing them out” isn’t always enough. They need opportunities to think, problem-solve, learn new skills, and work with their people.
At Hobe Sound Country Club Kennels, our structured play, training, enrichment, and carefully matched social experiences are designed to give high-drive dogs the outlets they need to stay confident, balanced, and fulfilled.

🐶 The first year of your puppy's life helps shape the dog they'll become.
Socialization isn't about letting your puppy meet every dog they see. It's about creating positive experiences that build confidence, good manners, and resilience.
From meeting new people and exploring different environments to learning how to interact appropriately with other dogs, every experience matters.
A well-socialized puppy grows into a dog that is more likely to be:
🐾 Confident
🐾 Calm
🐾 Curious
🐾 Friendly
🐾 Adaptable
At Hobe Sound Country Club Kennels, we believe socialization should always be safe, supervised, and positive. Our structured playgroups are carefully matched by age, size, temperament, and play style to help every dog have a successful experience.
Take a look at our Puppy Socialization Timeline and remember—it's never about rushing the process. It's about building confidence one positive experience at a time. ❤️

🐾 Breed Spotlight: Labrador Retriever
Labrador Retrievers are one of America's most beloved breeds, and for good reason. They're intelligent, loyal, eager to please, and always ready for their next adventure.
But Labs were bred to work.
Originally developed to retrieve game on land and in water, they thrive when they have a purpose, regular exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities to use their natural instincts.
Without enough enrichment, many Labs will create their own "jobs"... whether that's carrying around your shoes, digging in the backyard, or turning your favorite socks into toys. 😉
At HSCCK, we understand that every breed has unique needs. That's why we provide structured play, enrichment activities, appropriate socialization, and balanced rest to help Labs stay happy, confident, and fulfilled.
A well-exercised Lab is great.
A mentally fulfilled Lab is even better. 💙💚

Every dog deserves to be understood. ❤️🐾
No two dogs are the same, and not every dog is ready to jump into a playgroup. That's why we take the time to get to know each dog's personality, comfort level, and behavior before deciding what's best for them.
At Hobe Sound Country Club Kennels, our approach is built on patience, structure, and positive experiences. Whether a dog is outgoing, shy, or still learning how to interact with others, our experienced team works to set them up for success at their own pace.
Thank you, Dan, for trusting us with your retriever and for sharing your experience. Helping dogs build confidence while giving their families peace of mind is exactly why we love what we do.

🐾 Breed Spotlight: Australian Shepherd
Australian Shepherds weren't bred to spend their days on the couch. They were bred to think, work, solve problems, and stay active.
That means they need more than just exercise. They thrive when their minds are challenged just as much as their bodies.
At HSCCK, we understand that every breed has unique instincts and needs. That's why we focus on structured enrichment, appropriate socialization, purposeful activity, and plenty of time to recharge.
Whether your Aussie is herding tennis balls, mastering a puzzle, or making new friends, we're committed to creating an environment where they can truly thrive.
Because when you understand the breed, you can provide the care they were born to enjoy. 💙💚
